The holidays are over (moment of silence…I love the holidays!), which means wearing those festive pops of red takes a backseat to my other favorite fashion trend – neutrals. And something about winter just calls for cream, beige, and all of the neutrals. So let’s talk about how to style some of my favorite neutral hues!
I love the simplicity of taking colors that are similar to each other and pairing them together for a classic look. The colors don’t have to match exactly, and that’s the best part. When you have pieces in the same color family, you can mix and match for multiple looks.
I paired my favorite camel-colored Marc Fisher boots (these extremely versatile and comfortable boots are always on repeat!) with a rust-colored skinny ankle pant. Cream is the king of the neutral family, so I added a chunky-knit turtleneck sweater and layered it with a trendy caramel teddy coat from Palmer Clothing (use code TFS20 to get 20% off your entire purchase).
The frigid winters of the midwest always call for cozy hats, so you can’t forget to add an adorable pom beanie. And nobody does a pom beanie better than my girls from KyiKyi official. Shop a great selection of their faux-fur pom beanies here, and also here.
Pairing colors from the same color palette gives such a sophisticated look that works for any occasion. So don’t be afraid to round up your favorite color pieces and see what you come up with!
