Hi, friends! Happy Thursday! My journey with the Profile by Sanford diet is one of my most asked-about topics, so I thought it might be time for an update. Many things have changed in the world since I first shared my journey with you (read my full story here), but one thing has not changed…..my love for Profile by Sanford! This lifestyle continues to be a major part of my day-to-day life.
Profile helped me lose 40 pounds almost two years ago, and I’ve kept it off. Sure, I’ve had some fluctuations. That’s normal! I am an emotional eater, for sure. So when Covid-19 became a part of our lives in early 2020 and caused us to quarantine, I will admit that some of my old thoughts about food crept in. With all of the stressors that have come with our new norms, I found myself searching for food to find comfort. Being home all of the time gave me constant access to snacks and munchies.
But here is where Profile by Sanford and my amazing coaches helped me stay on track. The one-on-one coaching that Profile by Sanford offers is truly what sets them apart from other programs. When we began to shelter in place due to Covid-19, my weekly coaching sessions became virtual. And guess what…..nothing changed except I hopped on a Zoom with my coach instead of being face-to-face. It was exactly what I needed to keep me on track, and I continue those Zoom meetings to this day. I actually LOVE still having that accountability each week but also being able to have those meetings from the comfort of my own home. It’s a win-win for me!
Here is why Profile still works for me…
I know many diets come and go. Some diets are fads and become the latest internet craze. Some diets promise quick results to draw you in. But when it comes to Profile, here is why it stuck for me. The program and coaches help you see food differently, which was KEY for me as an emotional eater! I do sometimes look to food with the same emotions I’ve always had. Old habits die hard, right?
Here’s the key. I have been able to find foods (both grocery food/recipes and also food that are a part of the Profile by Sanford program) that are SO YUMMY! I absolutely crave the Profile spaghetti noodles. My lemon bar in the afternoon is a treat that I look forward every day. My morning Mocha shake actually gets me out of bed in the morning. I don’t in any way feel like I’m missing out on anything, and that mindset has been a key piece of my success.
In the end, your success is up to you!
In the end, you get out what you put in. There is no magic bean for losing weight. If you completely return to your old way of life, you will end up right back where you started. But there IS a way to safely lose weight, not feel deprived, and keep that weight off. That is exactly what Profile did for me, and it’s why my weight has stayed off.
Right before Covid-19, I was able to go to Hawaii for the first, my dream vacation! I have always loved traveling to beautiful sandy beaches, but what I didn’t love was getting in a swimsuit. And I assure you there were no pictures allowed when I was at an unhappy (and almost unhealthy) weight. My hubby snapped this picture of me below while we were there, and it makes me smile when I think of how far I have come. I am happy in my own skin, and it shows! We lived in swimsuits that week (check out everything I wore here).
